Thailand expects to generate 3.5 trillion Baht (USD100 billion) from tourism in 2024

Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), disclosed that the organization has established a revenue target of 3.5 trillion baht for 2024, of which 2.5 trillion are anticipated from foreign visitors and 1 trillion from domestic travelers. Among the initiatives will be increasing secondary city tourism and lowering reliance on any one market. The governor also mentioned that more frequent and varied domestic travel is expected as a result of the organization's forthcoming "365 Days, Marvellous Thailand Every Day" campaign. In addition, collaborating with the Thai Chamber of Commerce, according to the governor, will assist in improving ten secondary cities. Moreover, the tactics of TAT for international tourism center on collaborations, digital marketing, transit connectivity, new market exploration, and sustainable branding. One of the key goals is to revitalize the tourism industry, and 8.2 million arrivals come from China.
