Thailand's Royal Guards Parade Honors King’s Leadership

The 2024 Parade of the Royal Guards and Taking the Oath of Allegiance Ceremony will be held on December 3 at the Royal Plaza, Dusit Palace. This grand occasion celebrates the discipline, precision, and unity of the Royal Thai Armed Forces while honoring their unwavering loyalty as protectors of the nation, its religion, and the monarchy. The ceremony coincides with His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday anniversary on July 28, a milestone marking six cycles of his life.

As a proud symbol of national unity, the event brings together members of the armed forces in a display of synchronized marching and military precision. It reaffirms their readiness to uphold the nation’s traditions and safeguard peace and stability. The parade also highlights the leadership and authority of His Majesty the King as the Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces.

This year’s ceremony carries special significance as the first such event held during the reign of King Rama X. It stands as a symbolic tribute to the King, showcasing the strength and unity of the armed forces in their role as defenders of the nation and the monarchy. The event also reflects the deep respect and allegiance pledged by the Royal Guards to the throne.

The public is invited to witness this historic occasion in person at the Royal Plaza or through a live broadcast on the Thailand National Broadcast Network from 4 p.m. onwards. The parade serves as a poignant reminder of the armed forces’ monumental role in protecting the nation while celebrating their enduring legacy of loyalty and service.
