Thailand Wins Global Accolades in Aviation, Food, Tourism

Thailand has received multiple international awards, strengthening its reputation as a leading travel destination. Suvarnabhumi Airport has been ranked the second-best airport in the world in the 2025 DestinAsian Readers' Choice Awards, reflecting improvements in service quality, infrastructure, and passenger experience. The government continues to enhance airport facilities, with long-term plans to establish Thailand as a key aviation hub in Asia.

Bangkok’s food scene has also gained international attention, with the city ranking second in the world for street food in Time Out magazine’s 2025 list, climbing from sixth place the previous year. The ranking highlights Bangkok’s accessibility to high-quality, affordable food, with Chinatown’s Yaowarat and Banthat Thong Roads recognized as standout culinary districts.

Thailand’s inclusivity in tourism has been acknowledged with the title “Best LGBTQ Destination” at the Spartacus Travel Awards 2025. The award recognizes Thailand’s progress in LGBTQ+ rights, including the passage of the Marriage Equality Act, as well as its welcoming travel destinations such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.

These international accolades represent Thailand’s ongoing efforts to develop its tourism sector and enhance visitor experiences. The achievements are expected to drive tourism growth and reinforce the country’s reputation as a safe, welcoming, and culturally rich place for visitors worldwide.
