Guinness World Records has officially certified Associate Professor Dr. Tanaboworn Sirikunakornkun, also known as "Super Tum," for completing the world’s highest parachute jump landing on the summit of Ojos del Salado volcano.
The certification, published on the official Guinness World Records website on March 25, 2026, recognizes Dr. Tanaboworn as the first person to successfully land a parachute on the summit of the world’s highest volcano. This is his third major international milestone. He previously set records by skydiving with a 150-square-meter Thai national flag over Mount Everest, certified by the Nepal Press Association, and by completing a high-altitude jump over Antarctica.
Dr. Tanaboworn explained that his efforts are motivated by patriotism and a desire to honor the nation's core institutions. As an alumnus of King’s College, Class 27, he emphasized that his training fostered a lifelong commitment to national service. He added that these achievements highlight the courage, discipline, and crisis-management skills of Thai citizens to the international community.
He also expressed gratitude to world-renowned skydivers Mr. Paul-Henry de Baère and Mrs. Nadia de Baère for their technical support and partnership in these historic missions.
