On April 27, 2026, Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Adul Boonthumjaroen welcomed Chan Chun Sing, Singapore’s Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence. This visit, which is the Minister’s first official trip to Thailand since taking office, underscores the strong strategic partnership and mutual trust between both countries.

Key areas included joint exercises, defense industry development, cybersecurity, and strategic information sharing. Both ministers stressed the need to strengthen ASEAN’s regional role through the ADMM and ADMM-Plus frameworks. Security of Critical Underwater Infrastructure (CUI) was a priority, with both sides committing to joint initiatives. Thailand is currently reviewing draft agreements to formalize this collaboration.
