Thai PM Joins Pride Month Campaign Promoting Gender Equality

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul joined a Pride Month campaign to promote gender equality and support Thailand’s bid to host WorldPride 2030. During the event, representatives of the Pride City Network presented the premier with a Road to Bangkok WorldPride 2030 commemorative pin supporting diversity, inclusion, and equal rights.

The prime minister's participation reaffirms support for a society that respects people of all gender identities and sexual orientations while promoting equal opportunities and dignity for all. Pride Month activities taking place throughout June involve cooperation among government agencies, private-sector organizations, civil society groups, and community networks nationwide.

The campaign makes clear Thailand’s readiness to host WorldPride 2030, one of the world’s largest celebrations of LGBTQIA+ pride, diversity, human rights, and equality, while enhancing the country’s reputation as an inclusive destination.
