The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office recently participated in a joint promotional campaign with the Inside Out Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival 2026 in Toronto, helping showcase Thailand as an LGBTQ±friendly travel destination. The festival is Canada’s largest LGBTQ+ film event and one of North America’s leading cultural festivals, attracting more than 20,000 in-person and online participants.
Under the collaboration, the “Amazing Thailand” campaign has been chosen as the Official Screening Sponsor of the festival’s Closing Night Gala presentation of Heals, a documentary about Pangina Heals, the internationally recognized Thai drag performer. The film follows her personal and professional journey while celebrating the diversity and culture of Thailand’s LGBTQ+ community. More information about the film is available at: https://insideout.ca/event/id/69ded8da20c6b8fcfce00a68/
Thailand also received extensive visibility throughout the festival through a one-minute Amazing Thailand promotional video, complimentary admission tickets provided by TAT, and logo placement across festival materials, including the Closing Night Party, pre-show presentations, and the festival’s official website. Additional exposure was provided through festival newsletters distributed to approximately 6,800 subscribers.
The campaign also extended to social media through content published by @Thailandinsidercanada. The collaboration helped raise awareness of Thailand among international LGBTQ+ audiences and enhanced the country’s reputation as a welcoming destination offering diverse travel experiences for visitors from around the world.
