Their Majesties Donate Ventilators and Other Medical Equipment to Fight COVID-19

Their Majesties the King and Queen have graciously donated ventilators and other medical equipment to various hospitals nationwide in order to support COVID-19 relief efforts and to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The donations have already covered all the 123 target hospitals in 77 provinces.

These provinces are under the supervision of the Ministry of Defense, the Royal Thai Police, the Ministry of Public Health, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and the network of medical schools.

Among the royally donated items are 200 ventilators, 28 ICU monitors, one digital X-ray machine, 20 air sterilizing purifiers, 20 modular swab units, eight emergency ambulances, two million face masks, 50,000 face shields, and 4,000 PPEs.

As of 9 December 2020, the total number of cumulative COVID-19 infections in Thailand was 4,151, with 3,880 recoveries, and 211 are still in hospital. The death toll remained at 60.
