29 April 2021 (Readers 927)

Their Majesties the King and Queen have donated digital portable x-ray devices, with artificial intelligence systems, to 19 field hospitals set up to provide treatment for COVID-19 infected persons.

The field hospitals are located in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Chon Buri, Samut Sakhon, Rayong, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, and Surat Thani.

The current COVID-19 situation has become more serious, as the number of infection cases has increased rapidly, covering wider areas of the country. Many patients have been diagnosed with pneumonia and need to get chest x-rays.

After the COVID-19 situation improves, the royally granted x-ray devices will be sent to various hospital networks and will be used in field hospitals again when necessary.

Their Majesties the King and Queen have also donated other medical equipment to cope with the COVID-19 crisis, such as biosafety mobile units, express analysis mobile units, ventilators, and emergency ambulances.
