Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has urged to the Cabinet to add COVID-19 vaccinations to the national agenda. The Government will be able to set up procurement and distribution of vaccines urgently. Thailand will obtain a total of 150 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to inoculate all Thais in the country. The vaccines have to meet the Public Health Ministrys safety standards and be effective against the virus. Meanwhile, the National Vaccine Committee recently agreed that vulnerable residents nationwide can get a COVID-19 jab without making an appointment from June, in order to help people who are unable to book an inoculation online or who have problems with vaccination registration.
