The Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Defense, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, was the chairperson of the second meeting of the national committee for hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in 2022 via teleconference today, 12 July 2021. The Prime Minister emphasized that hosting APEC is an opportunity for Thailand to show its vision, to guide and to encourage cooperation from APEC members who have the power to find solutions to future global problems, as well as to have joint discussion on the regions recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic situation and to find ways of human behavioral adjustments to balance people, plants, animals, and the rest of nature. He also called on all agencies and sectors to discuss closely to push forward actions related to the promotion and linkage of the BCG Economy, which will bring maximum benefits by creating balanced, sustainable, and inclusive growth.
