Thailand Has Welcome More Than 34 Million Visitors in 2017

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) stated that the Thai tourism industry is poised to hit yet another new record after the arrival of Thailands 34 millionth visitor.
Ms. Yu-Chen Wang, the 34 millionth arrival to Thailand in 2017, was named "Thailands Luckiest Visitor upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport. She arrived in Bangkok on 21 December 2017 on Thai Airways Internationals Flight TG637 from Taipei, Taiwan. She also plans to spend five days with her friends, taking in the sights and soaking up local Thai experiences in Bangkok and Ayutthaya.
 Ms. Wang was rewarded with two economy-class return tickets from her original destination to Thailand, a voucher for five-night accommodation in Thailand, as well as the "Thailands Luckiest Visitor accolades that included a signed certificate from TAT.
On the same day, the number of Americans visiting Thailand annually hit the one-million mark, setting a new record for Thailands No 1 source market from the Americas Region, where TAT operates two offices in New York and Los Angeles.
Mr. Nathaniel Alexander Way, Thailands one millionth American tourist for 2017, arrived in Bangkok from Taipei, and has travelled here on a 10-day honeymoon, with an itinerary focusing on nature and Thai local experiences in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Krabi (Ao Nang) and Surat Thani (Khao Sok).
TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications Tanes Petsuwan said, "The welcoming of the 1 millionth American tourist for 2017, the first time ever for Thailand, marks a step forward for the Thai tourism industry in expanding the Americas market and in addition, the offering of endless Thai local experiences.
Thailand is ready to welcome the New Year, with a range of exciting tourism events and activities under the action-packed Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018.
