Celebration of the Royal Birthday of His Majesty the King

People from all walks of life have joined a wide variety of activities in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun on the occasion of his 66th birthday anniversary this year.

 

On His Majestys birthday, 28 July 2018, at 6:00 a.m. an alms-giving ceremony for Buddhist monks and novices will be arranged in Bangkok and all other provinces nationwide, as well as Thai temples overseas.

 

At 7:00 p.m. on the same day, there will be a candle-lit tribute-paying ceremony across the country. In Bangkok, the event will be held at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground. In the provinces, it will be held at provincial town halls or other designated sites, and in foreign countries, it will take place at Thai embassies.

 

The Government has invited Thai people to show their loyalty to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, who is recognized as a role model for gratitude. His Majesty has followed the footsteps of His Royal Parents His Majesty King Rama IX and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign in easing the peoples problems and improving their well-being.

 

With his firm intention to raise awareness among the Thai people about joint efforts to perform good deeds with a volunteer spirit, His Majesty the King has initiated the project "We Do Good Deeds with Our Hearts. This volunteer project aims to contribute to society and the country as a whole on the basis on sharing and unity.

 

Activities under this volunteer project have been expanding to all provinces nationwide. Among them is a clean-up campaign to keep public places clean and improve landscapes in various areas. The campaign has already benefited the people directly, since it helps improve their living environment and hygienic standards, as well as preventing floods.

 

Public services carried out by members of this volunteer project have brought satisfaction to the people, who also realize the compassion and benefaction of His Majesty toward his subjects.

 

With the royal aspirations and approach of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has been carrying forward his leadership and legacy for the benefit and happiness of the people.
