Grand Public Audience Granted by King Rama X on 6 May

His Majesty the King granted a grand public audience on the balcony of Suddhaisavarya Prasad Hall in the Grand Palace at about 16.55 hr on 6 May 2019, as part of his coronation. On this occasion, Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha delivered a congratulatory statement.

Speaking on behalf of civil servants, the police, the military, volunteers, and all groups of Thai people, the Prime Minister expressed loyalty to His Majesty the King.

He stated that the people realize that His Majesty intends to bring happiness and prosperity to the country, with firm determination to develop the peoples living conditions. His Majestys benevolence has brought great joy to the people and created unity, which becomes a driving force for the public and private sectors, as well as all groups of people, to join hands in developing the country for further progress.

The Prime Minister said that the people of all sectors will perform their duties to the best of their ability, in response to the royal aspirations and His Majestys First Royal Command issued on 4 May 2019. They will also bring peace and happiness, stability, and prosperity to the country and the people.

In his royal address, His Majesty the King said that he was very pleased with the good will of the people who came to offer their best wishes to him on the occasion of the coronation ceremony.

His Majesty said that the gathering of the people to show their good will to him on this occasion should be a good opportunity for everyone to join hands in performing their duties for the progress and prosperity of the country. He also thanked the people for their felicitations and wished them happiness and success.

His Majesty appeared on the balcony of Suddhaisavarya Prasad Hall, together with Her Majesty the Queen, Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana, and His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti.

They all waved to the people who waved the national flags and the yellow flags bearing the Royal Emblem on the Auspicious Occasion of the Coronation of King Rama X, while chanting "Long Live the King.
