Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit, who is Chairman of the Committee on Public Relations for the Coronation of King Rama X, has invited the public to attend an audience with Their Majesty the King and Queen and view the Royal Barge Procession on 24 October 2019.

At a press conference on 11 October 2019 at the Government Public Relations Department, Mr. Jurin said that the public may also view the spectacular Royal Barge Procession on television. The Television Pool of Thailand will televise this event from 15.15 hr onwards until the end of the procession.

Radio Thailand will also broadcast live the Royal Barge Procession for listeners across the country. Relevant information may be obtained at the website

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, who is Chairman of the Committee on Ceremonies for the Coronation of King Rama X, said that the Royal Barge Procession this time would not involve the presentation of the royal kathin robes. It is the final phase of the coronation of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.

Meanwhile, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will prepare locations along the two banks of the Chao Phraya River for the people to view the Royal Barge Procession. On 18 October, BMA will begin to decorate the locations for the public audience with Their Majesties the King and Queen, both by land and by water. The decoration work and the improvement of the landscapes of the areas are expected to be completed on 22 October.

The locations for the public audience by water are divided into four parts: the peoples premises and riverside communities, government office premises, public land on the riverside of the Chao Phraya, and the premises of the private sector, such as companies, restaurants, and hotels.

Their Majesties the King and Queen will travel by car from Ambara Villa to the Wasukri pier, for a distance of 1.1 kilometers. They will return from the Ratchaworadit pier, passing through Na Phra Lan Road and Dusit Palace, for a distance of 3.4 kilometers. Locations for the public audience by land will also be arranged for the people.
