Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, the spokesperson of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), has stated that the Government is concerned about the increasing suicide rate in Thailand, as many people are suffering because of the spread of COVID-19. This situation is a global crisis and has affected people physically and mentally around the world. The Department of Mental Health is cooperating with related agencies to help with this issue. Anyone who is facing severe mental stress or who sees someone close to them who may be thinking of committing suicide should contact the department's hotline at 1323.
