The Exhibition of the Sultanate Protector Legacy showcases the leadership of HM

The Exhibition of the Sultanate Protector Legacy: Inspiration for the Future exhibiting the reign of His Majesty in leading the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, July 21. - The Exhibition of the Sultanate Protector Legacy: Inspiration for the Future is open to the public in conjunction with the 74th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The exhibition will operate every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (during the Bandarku Ceria Programme), from 8.00 am to 11.00 am and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm according to the implementation of the second stage de-escalation plan and closed on Fridays and public holiday.

The entry of visitors to the exhibition located at Lapau Lama, Brunei History Centre (PSB), Bandar Seri Begawan are welcome and admission is free.

According to Hajah Siti Aisah binti Pungut, History Officer, Exhibition and Services Division, PSB, said in an interview with Pelita Brunei, before the country faced the COVID-19 outbreak, alhamdulillah the response was very encouraging especially from school students, institutions of higher learning, students who take subjects that lead to Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB), history lovers, including overseas visitors, who are interested in the Royal Family, the early history of government and so on.

She added that the collection of exhibition photos are from PSB itself through the Photography Division which carries an important role in preparing old photos to be copied and digitized again so that they are durable.
"It is hoped that through this exhibition, it will be further developed because one of the policies of the establishment of PSB is to support and fund the MIB itself and indirectly this exhibition shows the leadership of the sovereign in line with the philosophy of the MIB," said Hajah Siti Aisah.
Meanwhile, The Exhibition of the Sultanate Protector Legacy: Inspiration for the Future was officiated on 7 August 2019 in conjunction with the Launching Ceremony of the Sultanate Protector Legacy Book: Aspirations, Ambitions and Wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam written by the Principal of PSB.
The exhibition tells the story of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam during the reign of the Government of Brunei Darussalam for 50 years, from 1967 to 2017, where he achieved many successes in leading the country in line with the developed countries of the world.
The exhibition, sketched a biography and the glory of His Majestys reign as a Sovereign, Head of State and Head of the Islamic Religion. Under His Majestys rule, Brunei Darussalam has achieved progress, success and excellence in various fields such as religion, administration and education. This exhibition shows His Majestys achievements in various fields as well as his wishes and aspirations in developing Brunei Darussalam.

Among His Majestys achievements in leading the system of government are his visits in the country and abroad; his involvement in the field of culture and youth; his concern for the well-being of the people and the residents of Brunei Darussalam; a people-friendly and a loving sultan; as well as his involvement in sports and recreation which has been his interest since adolescence.

The exhibition also reflects the success of his leadership in line with the MIB philosophy of this country which has become the driving force behind the Brunei Vision 2035.
Hopefully such an exhibition will be able to provide knowledge and benefits to every citizen and residents as well as bring great meaning in the life of the nation and state, especially to further strengthen the bond between His Majesty as Sultan and his people.
Meanwhile, in the exhibition space, a Documentary video Raja Payung Negara was also shown.
