The CCSA General Meeting has decided to adjust a number of measures from the 1st of October 2021. The quarantine measures for those traveling into the country will be separated into two groups. First, those who have vaccine certificates and have duly been vaccinated for over 14 days will be subject to a minimum of 7 days of quarantine with two RT-PCR tests, one conducted on the first day of arrival and the second on the sixth or the seventh day of quarantine. The other group -- those who have not received full vaccination and travel into the country via sea or air -- will be subject to a minimum of 10 days of quarantine and two RT-PCR tests. Persons who have not received full vaccination and who are entering the country by land will be subject to a minimum of 14 days of quarantine with two RT-PCR tests. (27/09/2021)
Thailand has received another 300,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine donated by Japan, which arrived in Bangkok on 26 September 2021 as the third lot of AstraZeneca vaccine to Thailand, to commemorate the 134th anniversary of Thailand-Japan diplomatic relations. So far, Japan has already provided 1.65 million vaccine doses to Thailand. Meanwhile, Deputy Government Spokesperson Ratchada Dhnadirek appealed for volunteers to test the Baiya Vaccine, Phase 1. The project is accepting additional volunteers to test the vaccine Baiya Sars CoV-2 Vax 1 Phase 1 at Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Saowapa Institute of the Thai Red Cross Society. The volunteers must be healthy, aged between 18 and 75 years, and should not have received any COVID-19 vaccine before. (27/09/2021)
