The Health Service Support Department, Ministry of Public Health, disclosed that massage and spa businesses have been proposed to the CCSA for consideration as new alternative quarantine locations. After a study was made in southern provinces, such as Krabi province, it was found that spa businesses have a good quality standard. This model aims to attract tourists and develop medical tourism. The review process for this idea will take two weeks, and the application process may take one month. Guidelines for this alternative quarantine include rules, for example, that businesses should have sanitized separate areas, entering tourists should have certificates showing they were free of COVID-19 72 hours before traveling, and they should have insurance with health coverage.
