The festival, themed "Unseen Chiang Mai," will showcase delightful halal delicacies from all corners of Thailand, catering to our Muslim friends and travelers from the Middle East.
But that's not all! This festival is just a taste of what's to come. Chiang Mai is also preparing for its International Food Festival in July and August, perfectly timed to welcome the influx of Middle Eastern tourists. We're rolling out the red carpet for these wonderful visitors known for their longer stays and generous spending habits.
Governor Nirat Pongsitthavorn is confident that the Halal Food Festival will become an annual highlight on Chiang Mai's vibrant tourism calendar. ![]()
Supamitr Kijjapipat, President of the Chiang Mai Tourism Business Association, expects the festival to stimulate our local economy and attract both Thai and international tourists. With over 20 halal-certified restaurants participating, it's going to be a gastronomic extravaganza!
And there's more! From July to September, Chiang Mai will be unveiling hidden gems like Chiang Dao, Mae On, Wiang Haeng, Mae Cham, and Mae Kwang under the captivating theme of "Unseen Chiang Mai."
