The delegations from Thailand’s Government Public Relations Department (PRD) and Voice of Vietnam (VOV) attended the 11th Joint Technical Committee Meeting on Media and Information Cooperation in Hanoi, Vietnam, in an effort to promote cooperation and strengthen relations between the two countries.
PRD Deputy Director-General Sudruretai Lertkasem emphasized the significance of close communication between the two organizations during her opening remarks through video messages in order to ensure that the information transmitted conveys accuracy and reliability to society in a timely manner. The deputy director-general also placed a strong emphasis on creating high-quality content for the target audiences of both nations.
Both parties agreed to decide on issues together and share wide-ranging, in-depth content that appeals to their respective target audiences. In addition to tourism and culture, PRD and VOV will concentrate on other comprehensive topics, including economy, trade, and investment, so that the people of both countries will benefit more from these stories.
Moreover, the meeting discussed the possibility of new project concepts on media collaboration, including the twin radio initiative proposed by PRD and a video clip contest put forth by VOV.
The cooperation between the two agencies under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will mark its 25th anniversary in 2024.
