Thailand selected to host Korat Expo 2029

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) announced that the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) has recently granted permission for Thailand to host the 2029 International Horticultural Expo, or “Korat Expo 2029,” during the AIPH’s Spring Meeting 2024 in Doha, Qatar.

The approval will position Nakhon Ratchasima Province, widely known as Korat, as the hub of innovation and sustainability in the horticultural industry, under the theme “Nature and Greenery: Envisioning the Green Future.”

This A-1 level Korat Expo, or the World Horticultural Exhibition, is scheduled to run for 110 days from 10 November 2029 to 28 February 2030, on a total area of 678 rai (nearly 1.1 sq km) at Kog Nhong Rang Ka Public Area in Kong District. The Korat Expo 2029 is expected to attract 2.6 to 4 million visitors.

In the next step, Thailand is required to make the submission to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) for the consideration and complete approval to become a Certified Licensed Host of the A-1 level exposition.
