Embassy Urges Thais to Leave Cambodia

The Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh is urging Thai nationals to leave Cambodia as soon as safely possible due to escalating and spreading border clashes.

The embassy stated it is closely monitoring the escalating tensions and that clashes are occurring in multiple areas along the border. The announcement warns that the conflict is likely to be prolonged and may expand further.

Thai citizens currently residing in Cambodia without an essential reason to remain are advised to leave the country as soon as they can do so safely. The embassy also strongly recommends that all non-essential travel to Cambodia be postponed until the situation has de-escalated.

For emergencies or assistance, Thais can contact the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Siem Reap, or the 24-hour Department of Consular Affairs Call Center.
