The first official day of competition featured 38 gold medals up for grabs. Team Thailand delivered an outstanding performance, collecting 19 gold medals, 12 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals, securing 1st place on the overall medal table at the end of Day 1.

Indonesia  and Singapore  follow with 5 gold medals each, though Singapore trails due to having fewer silver medals.

Vietnam  sits in 4th place with 4 gold medals, while Myanmar , Malaysia , and the Philippines  each earned 2 gold medals.

Lao PDR  secured 1 gold medal, Brunei  collected 1 silver and 1 bronze, and Timor-Leste  earned 1 bronze medal.
