The Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced Thailand’s continued role as host of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Thailand 2026, marking the country’s fifth consecutive year as host, with Phuket serving as the host city from 16–18 January 2026.
Thailand’s selection to host EDC for five consecutive years reflects international confidence in the country’s infrastructure, organizational capacity, and safety standards. The achievement also reaffirms Thailand’s vision to become a leading destination for world-class creative and entertainment events, while supporting the Festival Economy strategy aimed at attracting high-quality travelers seeking meaningful experiences with high per-capita spending.
Organized under the theme “EDC Thailand 2026: Bigger, Brighter, and More Immersive Than Ever,” the festival will receive full government support as part of a long-term growth strategy. With Phuket as the host province, the event is expected to deliver tangible economic benefits to surrounding communities while further elevating Phuket’s profile as a fully equipped global festival destination.
Beyond serving as an economic driver, generating broad-based revenue and creating employment and skills development opportunities, EDC Thailand 2026 will also function as a platform to project a modern, open, and creative image of Thailand. International artists and performers are expected to act as cultural ambassadors, sharing positive experiences of the country with global audiences.
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is among the world’s largest electronic dance music festivals, internationally recognized for its immersive stage designs, advanced visual technology, and large-scale audience engagement. Beyond music, EDC has evolved into a global lifestyle platform that delivers strong tourism, economic, and branding value to host destinations.
