Martial Law Declared in Parts of Chanthaburi and Trat

Effective 25 July 2025, the Thai government has declared martial law in seven districts of Chanthaburi—Mueang Chanthaburi, Tha Mai, Makham, Laem Sing, Kaeng Hang Maeo, Na Yai Am, and Khao Khitchakut—and in Khao Saming District of Trat. The measure is in response to the escalating Thailand-Cambodia situation, aimed at bolstering national security and protecting civilians. Military personnel are granted expanded powers, including search, seizure, and movement restrictions.
