Thailand will send a delegation to participate in the Thailand-Cambodia General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting, taking place from 4-7 August 2025, in Malaysia. The meeting will be co-chaired by the Defence Ministers of both nations.

In preparation for this important diplomatic engagement, the Thai delegation conducted three comprehensive preparatory meetings to establish key issues and negotiation frameworks. These preparations were formally approved by the National Security Council on 1 August 2025.

The meeting structure includes:
• Secretariat-level discussions: 4-6 August 2025
• GBC Meeting: 7 August 2025
• Observer countries will participate only on the final day (7 August 2025)

The Thai delegation is led by the Director-General of the Department of Border Affairs, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, who serves as Secretary of the Thailand-Cambodia General Border Committee. The delegation comprises representatives from multiple government agencies working on border-related matters.

This meeting represents an important step in maintaining diplomatic relations and addressing bilateral border issues between Thailand and Cambodia.
