His Majesty the King has graciously bestowed royal water for the bathing ceremony of two civilians killed during the clashes along the Thailand-Cambodia border area in Surin Province. The victims were named as Bandit Unchit and Thitiwat Boontaeng, a young man and a boy.
The funeral rite began on 13 August 2025 at 16.30 hr at Wat Prathummek, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Surin District, and will continue until 17 August. His Majesty the King has granted burial soil and a royally sponsored cremation ceremony for the two civilians, as well.
The families of Bandit Unchit and Thitiwat Boontaeng expressed profound gratitude for His Majesty the King’s immeasurable benevolence.
On this occasion, Governor of Surin Province Chamnan Chuenta was instructed to send floral tributes for the victims from Their Majesties the King and Queen, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, and other members of the Royal Family.
The Surin Governor was also asked to bring gift baskets granted by Their Majesties the King and Queen to the families of the two civilian victims.
