HM the King Gives Royal Vases of Flowers and Gift Baskets to Injured Soldiers

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua has given royal vases of flowers and gift baskets to four soldiers, who were Injured from the Thailand-Cambodia border situation in Surin Province.

His Majesty the King on 28 August 2025 at 17.00 hr asked Mr. Chamnan Chuenta, Governor of Surin, to bring the royal vases of flowers and gift baskets to the four soldiers in order to boost their morale, as they had made a great sacrifice for the nation.

Among these soldiers, three had performed their duties on the front line in the Prasat Ta Khwai area in Phanom Dong Rak District. They are now receiving treatment from a team of doctors and nurses at Prasat Hospital in Prasat District.

On the same day, the Surin Governor also visited another soldier, who stepped on a PMN-2 landmine planted by the Cambodian side while patrolling in the area of Ta Khwai Temple in Surin Province, on 27 August 2025, which is located within Thai territory. This resulted in the soldier suffering permanent disability. He is receiving treatment in Surin Hospital in Mueang Surin District. 

The granting of the royal vases of flowers and gift baskets to the four injured soldiers reflected His Majesty’s concern over the soldiers injured from the unrest situation. The Governor said that many soldiers and local people have been distressed by the Thai-Cambodian conflict.

In this regard, he said, officials have been providing full assistance to the affected people. Surin Province is also closely monitoring the border situation for the safety of the people. The Governor reaffirmed the unity of the local people in going through these difficult times together.
