Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet signed a peace declaration Sunday in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, witnessed by U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The agreement commits both nations to withdraw heavy weapons from border areas, clear unexploded ordnance, jointly combat scam operations, and cooperatively manage overlapping territorial zones to prevent future conflicts.
The declaration marks a significant step in reducing tensions between the Southeast Asian neighbors.
