PM Visits Border Evacuees in Buriram, Pledges Support Amid Tensions

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul personally visited evacuees at a temporary shelter in Mueang District, Buriram Province, following the impact of tensions along the Thailand–Cambodia border. More than 10,000 displaced residents from multiple areas are currently being accommodated at the center.

The visit, made privately during a public holiday, was informal and aimed at engaging directly with evacuees to boost morale. The Prime Minister spoke with residents, listened to their concerns, and inquired about living conditions at the shelter.

He also joined volunteers in preparing and distributing food, offering encouragement to families and children affected by the displacement.

The visit reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting affected communities during times of crisis, amid an atmosphere of unity and solidarity among evacuees and officials.
