International School Bangkok (ISB), the premier international school in Thailand, has organized an event to pay tribute to the late Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

The event took place on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at ISB in Nonthaburi Province. It was presided over by Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, who is the Chairperson of the Committee on Public Relations for the Royal Cremation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

The tribute-paying ceremony was also attended by Nonthaburi Governor Kiattisak Trongsiri, senior officials, ISB executives, teachers, and students, and other distinguished guests. Apart from presiding over the ceremony, Minister Supamas also launched the opening ceremony of the exhibition "In Loving Memory of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.”

A performance of a khon masked drama was staged at the opening ceremony. The Queen Mother played an important role in reviving khon by directing her patronage toward the preservation of this traditional performing art.

In her remarks, Minister Supamas commended ISB for its longstanding role in serving as a bridge to promote better understanding of Thai culture internationally and providing young people with proper knowledge and a deep understanding of the royal initiatives and activities of Her Royal Highness the Queen Mother.

She said that the late Queen Mother had a strong intention to promote greater educational opportunities for young people in all provinces across Thailand, so that they would have a secure and better future. Her Majesty believed that education was the foundation for better opportunities in life.
