Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has instructed all relevant agencies to mobilize forces to urgently help people affected by severe flooding in southern provinces.
The Prime Minister, during his visit to Songkhla Province to inspect the flood situation, told officials to focus on quick operations to assist flood-affected people, as follows:
1. Accelerating the relocation of people from the areas with the highest risk of flooding, especially those in the vulnerable groups and bed-ridden patients;
2. Accelerating the release of flood water from the affected areas as soon as possible to ease the people’s hardships;
3. Accelerating the rehabilitation assistance process and compensation payments for flood victims.
A report from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation on 23 November 2025 shows that severe floods have affected 10 southern provinces, namely Surat Thani, Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phatthalung, Satun, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. The flood situation covers 86 districts, 515 subdistricts, and 3,620 villages, with 653,568 families and about 1.47 million people affected.
Officials have been deployed to patrol and closely monitor water levels across the affected areas. Many agencies have also been working in an integrated manner to cope with the flood situation. Affected people may seek assistance from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation at LINE ID @1784DDPM, or the hotline 1784 around the clock.
Meanwhile, flooding in the northern and central regions was reported in 11 provinces, namely Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Sing Buri, Chai Nat, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, and Nakhon Pathom.
