Scouts representatives from six countries – namely Brunei Darussalam as the host country; Kingdom of Cambodia; Malaysia; the Republic of the Philippines; the Republic of Singapore; and the Kingdom of Thailand are currently in Brunei Darussalam for the 17th ASEAN Scout Association for Regional Cooperation (ASARC) Meeting, held at the Ar-Rasyid Meeting Room of the AMAS Building in Lamunin.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Somboon Bunyasri from the National Scout Organization of Thailand as Chairman of ASARC; Dr. Wanyada Budhtranon from the National Scout Organization of Thailand as Secretary-General of ASARC; Rajalingam Ramasamy from the Malaysia Scout Association as ASARC Taskforce Committee member; Settanun Ungkulpasvich from the National Scout Organization of Thailand as ASARC Taskforce Committee member; and Wendel E.Avisado, Chairman of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Davao City Council as Consultant to ASARC.
Also present was JR Pangilinan, Regional Director at the Asia- Pacific Support Centre at World Organization of the Scout Movement as an Advisor ASARC. Other ASEAN Member States also joined the meeting online.
