The University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD), in collaboration with the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and AUN Inter-Library Online (AUNILO), is hosting the 20th AUNILO Meeting from 22nd to 24th July at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB).
With the theme ‘Safeguarding the Future of Libraries Through Digital Innovation and Sustainability’, the event gathers over 40 delegates from 24 institutions across eight ASEAN countries to discuss digital transformation, sustainable technology, AI in libraries, and regional collaboration.
Key speakers included Dayang Hajah Maudena binti Haji Abdul Hamid, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (University Life and Governance) and Dayang Siti Multazimah binti Haji Ibrahim, Head of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Unit at the Brunei Vision Office, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), both highlighting education’s role in regional unity and Brunei Darussalam’s alignment of digital innovation with the SDGs.
The three-day event features country reports, business meetings, workshops, and cultural activities, reinforcing AUNILO’s role as a platform for knowledge exchange and library innovation in ASEAN.
